Founded in 1982, Jan’s Flooring is one of a select few commercial flooring contractors based in the Chicago metropolitan area that are minority certified (MBE & DBE). As a founding partner and current President of Jan’s Flooring, Mr. Carlos Solano founded the company on the principle that each customer relationship is a partnership where the primary goal is to achieve a mutually beneficial installation upon each project’s completion. Carlos has over 30 years of experience as a commercial flooring contractor; experience with projects of all sizes and scopes that includes both hands-on installation experience as well as project management experience. Jan’s Flooring's minority status allows prospective clients and contractors to meet regulatory guidelines and mandates tied to their projects, while not compromising in the quality of installations. Our innovative team of installers is proficient with every type of resilient floor and wall material in the marketplace, as well as all industry standard and custom installation techniques. We specialize in resilient floor and wall installations that other contractors deem to difficult or risky to perform. In the history of organization, we have installed enough resilient flooring material to cover more than 25 football fields. Jan’s Flooring is affiliated with Union Local 1185, Chicago & NE Illinois District Council of Carpenters and employs only the most skilled of mechanics in the trade. Jan’s operates its own fleet of trucks to insure serving their customers with the utmost of proficiency and professionalism. Jan’s dedication to its customers does not stop with the installation of flooring.
